It is available in 3 variants- S1X (2kWh), S1X, and S1X Plus. This article will simply explore the key features, benefits, and potential impact of the Ola S1 X.

Ola S1 X Design

The Ola S1 X looks sleek and modern design, making it visually appealing. The scooter is built with high-quality materials. The Scooter also ensures durability and longevity. The design is similar to the other S1 models but gets minor tweaks like the headlamp cowl with LED projectors and LED bezel. It also gets a flat floorboard. It has a smaller headlight cowl and a small fly screen. That said, the apron and the side panel design look similar to the regular S1.

The Ola S1 X 4kWh features a sleek, aerodynamic design available in multiple color options, including Vogue, Red Velocity, Steller, White, Liquid Silver, Funk3, and Midnight. The scooter also prioritizes rider comfort so it provides spacious 34L boot space and a stronger grabrail for security. Its handlebar is different from other models and the S1X comes with round mirrors. Its compact size makes it perfect for navigating through crowded city streets.

Battery & Charging

Charging the Ola S1 X is simple and convenient. The scooter comes with a portable charger that can be plugged into any standard electrical outlet. It takes a few hours to fully charge the battery, so you can easily charge it overnight or while you’re at work.  It takes Charging times from 0 to 100% for the 2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh in just 5 hours, 7.4 hours, and 6.5 hours, respectively. The S1 X also has a 3kWh battery pack, hence, it takes 7.4 hours to charge.

The battery itself is designed to last for many years, and it is also replaceable. The S1X base model is a 2kWh battery unit while the mid-spec models get a 3kWh unit. All three trims get the same 6kW motor. And the top speed is 85kmph and 90kmph. This means you can continue using your scooter without worrying about the battery losing its capacity over time. These further differ in terms of features, and performance as the Plus trim gets a five-inch display, unlike the other two’s 3.5-inch units.

Motor

The Ola S1 X is powered by a hub motor with a 2.7kW power output & a 6kW peak for all 4 variants. The top speed in S1 X (2kWh) variant is capped at 85kmph, whereas S1 X (3kWh), S1 X (4kWh) and S1 X+ have 90kmph top speed. All 3 variants have Eco, Normal, and Sports riding modes. The 2kWh variant accelerates from 0 to 60kmph in 7.9 seconds, while the S1 X 3kWh, 4kWh, and S1 X+ reach 0 to 60kmph in 5.5 seconds.

The 2kWh variant comes with a 2kWh battery pack and provides a 95km range. Both S1 X 3kWh and S1 X+ variants feature a 3kWh battery pack and deliver 143km and 151km IDC i.e. Indian Driving Conditions ranges, respectively. Meanwhile, the variant with the 4kWh battery pack has an impressive 190km IDC range.
